Role Description:
This hands-on role involves supporting both housekeeping and dietary operations to ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning and housekeeping tasks according to established protocols to maintain sanitary conditions in assigned areas.
- Assist with laundry services, including washing, drying, folding, and sorting
- Assist patients with meal service by setting up trays, delivering meals, and ensuring dietary guidelines and hygiene standards are maintained.
- Clean and sanitize dining areas, equipment, and utensils after meals to maintain health and safety compliance.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work effectively both independently and within a team.
- Strong time management, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential for success in this role.
- Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
This role plays an important part in promoting a positive environment by ensuring both dietary and housekeeping needs are met efficiently and with care.
Qualifications:
- Previous housekeeping/laundry experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Specific experience in the senior care sector is considered an asset.
- Exceptional English verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer savvy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Having a vehicle/driver’s license is not mandatory.
